Herman Cain May Sneak Up On 2012 GOP Primary Field If He Doesn't Trip Himself Up First

The good thing about Cain is that he speaks with conviction and feelings. President Obama is yet to give a speech with either. He is too cardboard. Sure the media will jock-up all his speeches but to be honest President Obama seems to be afraid of being compared to MLK, Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton: the preachers speakers. The president's speeches are very demure. He is yet to strike a connection with the people. He is long on substance but no feelings. Instead he prefers being cool and that will only get you so far.

What's At Stake In The Massive Walmart Anti-Discrimination Case Before The Supreme Court

Too many people go to work at Wal-Mart with barely a high school degree and GED and expect to become CEO. Not that this can't happen, but Wal-Mart and other companies like it should be viewed as stepping stones especially, if your intention is to become a millionaire. Bob Herbert's Last NY Times Column: Pouring Money Into Another War, Not Jobs

This is exactly what I have been blogging about. Why would Bob or any other person in the media write or talk about jobs needed here and not a war after the fact? Think about it. Before we gave a helping hand to Libya all the talk was why are we doing anything to help the innocent in Libya? Why is the President dithering? We need to do something now. We should be looking at Syria? All these ridiculous questions on why? Not a word was said LOUDLY about putting the money into the US economy. Now that we are helping Libya some weeks later the question comes up. What the HECK is going on! I don't trust the America Media and neither should you on matters of our country. The media has an agenda to increase its viewership and nothing more.

Aaron Brown On Anderson Cooper: 'Keeping Them Honest' Is A 'Slogan,' Not Journalism

I didn't care for Aaron Brown when he was on CNN, but I have to agree with him on the above points. There is too much sensationalsm in the news today. It seems to have started during the Clinton years. Cable/network news and papers are trying to get one up on the other. They get a story and flavor it with their opinions as though it is news. They propose questions and then make it seems as though the people want to know and have asked the questions. We are left trying to figure it all out. Then there are some viewers who get caught up in the process and begain to think they are entitled to know certain things that are completely not news related. Case in point was it anyones business if then first Lady Hillary Clinton was mad at her husband over his affairs? Or if they were having sex after she became a senator? It things like this that have soured me and many others, those their voices are heard, on the credibility of the news and those delivering. I have been blogging this point for quite some time for I am extremely concerned at the direction our media is going. An institution that has the ability to really delve into a story and report yet that don't . We have people giving the news who know nothing about journalism yet they think what they say is gospel. So sad.

Elizabeth Taylor's Funeral Held In Los Angeles, 15 Minutes Late

One of the things that stand out about Ms. Taylor is her unwavering friendship to Michael Jackson. Before his death, she at the age of 76, and not in the best of health, was preparing to fly to London with him to kick off his much talked about final concerts. Unfortunately, the concert was not to be. Upon learning of her dear friend Michael's death, Ms. Taylor said she couldn't imagine a world or life without him. This is coming from a woman who stood next to Michael through all of his trials and tribulations and good times. While she didn't attend his memorial service in Los Angeles, she did attend his funeral. Though being a star herself, Ms. Taylor arrived on time to his funeral, which was held outside in temperatures ranging as high as 100 plus degrees. She waited patiently, for the services to start, which started late. She was gracious the entire time and took her seat with the other guest not asking for special attention. This to me is the sign of a loyal true friend.

Rest in peace sweet Elizabeth.

NATO Agrees To Take Over Command Of Libya No-Fly Zone, U.S. Likely To Remain In Charge Of Brunt Of Combat

Same story and lame headline and question. And if the US wasn't taking the lead in the brunt of the work the media would ask why not because the US is better equipped. It has become clear that some thing no one or other country can do it but the US. Arrogance of the American media. When we do take control, as I said early the question is then asked Why us and not another country. I hope the reader as seeing this contradictory played out on TV it is akin to a reality show gone bad! It makes you wonder if the American media is has the interest of the Viewers at heart, or are they only conerned with their opinions and DRAMA?! Again I see why Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Al Jazeer seems to be more accurate in their reporting (this is sad).

Over on CNN you have Anderson Cooper complaining that the Syrian government won't grant American journalist visa to the country to report on the semi uprising. CAN YOU BLAME them? They see the wack job you are doing else where causing discord. They don't want your manufactured drama on their soil. Learn to report and not take sides and perhaps a visa will be granted.

'South Park' guys make 'really different' Broadway

Then call me uptight! I find the entire idea of the play repulsive and will not be patronizing it. Sure it will do well, by those who say it's a joke. Laugh! Well there is nothing funny about making fun of someone's religion, sexuality or behavior. What have we reduced ourselves to in America? Why ask? Jon Stewart Rips U.S. Attack On Libya: 'Don't We Already Have Two Wars?' (VIDEO)

Why want Stewart go after the media for pushing the US to step in and his followers who probably wanted us there to help bring democracy to the people in Libya.

What is all this talk about freedom and democracy anyway? Simply because the Western world have it doesn't mean it is for others. Some in the middle east have a different belief system. The West believes all are entitled to freedom as given by the creator. Which creator? The Middle East doesn't believe in the one creator of the West. Their system is based on religion and they like it that way. The West freedom isn't based on religion (so we like to believe), so where is all this coming from?

And by the way, France is taking the lead; the US only a follower as agreed by the UN and Arab League (not that it matters but a point worth noting).

Victoria Jackson Slams 'Glee,' Gays, Muslims In 'Showbiz Tonight' Appearance (VIDEO)

Nevermind Victoria, this is how she feels/thinks her right. I am, however, waiting for Glee to do a piece on bullying and dangers of sexting.

Let's face it Glee has an agenda on certain social issues. However, they must look at both sides of the spectrum to be fair. The creator himself, Ryan Murphy, recognized this and said he would and did include a christian element on the show, but it isn't as present as the other aspects.

Thinking one size fits all is a mistake. There will be and are others like Victoria waiting to speak out. Attempting to silence their voice by making them seem stupid will further alienate and cause division. Let us come together and reason.

A Christian Guide to Confronting End of Life Issues

Beautiful piece.

LaVerne, my sister, a sister, mother of two, daughter, aunt, friend and a fighter battled stage four lung cancer (non-smoker) for almost 9 years. Her battle ended the morning of her 44th birthday, October 11, 2010.

The night before she passed my family along with her friends celebrated her birthday with balloons, a cake and candles. We sung, laughed and reminisced about her life.

That next morning around 7:55 a.m. quietly and peacefully she left us.

Hearts were heavy, but the day of her funeral family and friends, dressed in pink and white (her favorite colors) to celebrate her life. During the celebration uplifting songs, poems and speeches were performed. A saxophonist played "Gone Too Soon" by Michael Jackson. A choir performed "You are My Sunshine" by Maze and Franky Beverly and “Going Up Yonder” by Tramaine Hawkins.

The committal service, was equally celebratory. A saxophonist played “To God Be the Glory”. Her daughters and niece performed "I don't feel no ways tired" by Mary Mary. A soloist performed “We Shall Behold Him.”

It was a beautiful day. The sun lit up a bright sky. Before her body was committed, 44 pink and white balloons were released in honor of her years on earth and freeing her spirit to the sky.

While there is an emptiness in my families heart for our beloved LaVerne, we find comfort in the celebration of life service we had in her honor.
