Adrian Fenty, Former D.C. Mayor, Has No Regrets One Year Out Of Office

I hope Obama doesn't share Fenty's fate. I don't agree completely with Obama and didn't vote for him. I have been critical of him and feel that he isn't tough enough. That being said, I want the president to succeed for when he succeed we all succeed. Bringing in a newbie in 2012 just won't cut it. For that person will blame the previous administration when he/she realizes their new idea to help the economy isn't working. I want the president to succeed, but he has got to get tough and bring in the independents and get Republicans to understand he isn't trying allow the government to take over. We need government. Would Obama Tell Other Constituencies to 'Stop Complaining?'

Did he tell LGBT to shut up and stop complaining when they came calling on gay marriage, gays in the military or DOMA? What about hispanics? What about when Wall Street needed a bailout? Bottom line (so it seems) Obama knows he can say and do whatever he wants to AAs and they will still vote for him (typical democratic strategy). AAs are loyal to a fault and now with so much to be lost do AAs have a choice but to take it? Voting for another candidate could be devastating.

As always, I want the President to succeed for when he succeed we all win. But man!

NFL Gets Better: Sexual Orientation Protections Added To New Contract

I digress: I find it interesting the focus on a sport featuring muscled bound black guys and their sexual orientation. Are there gays on NFL teams _possibly? But the muscled bound guys many are hoping will come out probably aren't gay. Why isn't this amount of attention focused on Hockey, Tennis or soccer? Heck look at Americas favorite pass time baseball. Why the interest on football? Don't answer. I am being facetious. I alreadly know the answer.

Maxine Waters: Obama's Speech To Congressional Black Caucus Was 'A Bit Curious'

Congressman Waters has made some valid points. The President has answered the call to every constiutent except for AAs. His message to AAs is harsh and almost patronizing: stop complaining. Yet they - AA- will go to the polls and vote for him. What is wrong with this picture? Taking AAs for granted? Well they aren't the largest minority group anymore and perhaps they wasted time over the years following the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Now it a pivotal moment when they could have been positioned to ask for more they are running on empty and no one wants to listen. Maybe the President is right shut up and put boots to the ground?

Man the President sure knows how to brow beat AAs (he did the same thing when running for the presidency with his father's day speech) but kowtows to the establishment.

Thomas Roberts: GOP Candidates Want To Return To Time When 'Slavery Was Cool' (VIDEO)

Perhaps the headline should have included a little more of Roberts commentarty: "no women voting, slavery was cool." Using only part of his commentary "slavery was cool" is a subtle attempt to label the party of Abraham Lincoln as being racist. When any one with a little knowledge of history knows, it was the democratic party that promoted and held firm to Jim Crow laws of the South. My point, both parties have stings of racism (one isn't better than the other).

That being said, I am amazed at how society attempted to white wash racism once Obama took office. Now he is nearing the end of his term (and it is evident) he will have a rough election, racism is rearing its ugly head.

Morgan Freeman: Tea Party Is Racist, They're Out To Get Obama

I take my hat off to Mr. Freeman. I have been writing about this very thing the moment Obama threw his hat into the ring. Needless to say, I was silenced by a blind liberal media bent on believing by electing a black man to office America's racial history goes away. Wrong! If anything it is pronounced even more. Why? Because many believe that racism has gone away. If we all really look at what's happening we will see that racism is still present but it is a new form of racism. You don't have to lynch a person or deny civil rights in order for racism to exist.

Slavery Footprint: How Many Forced Laborers Work For You?

How is it that the US can talk about slavery and the atrocities of other countries but when it comes to the US find it difficult to speak about slavery? Never mind reparations or an apology, but to just recognize the effects of slavery on a group of people and how it has seemingly forever change the outcome of lives. Why is it so hard to discuss? Why? Well, maybe because it happened on US soil and the US deems itself somewhat superior to others and the leaders in moral authority. Yet shortly after slavery ended it really didn't end. Jim Crow laws were introduced in the South and remained until 1964 and to think this act of Congress would ensure all would get along and have access to all things America was and is so deceptive.
