Newt Gingrich Has Hillary Clinton Moment In Iowa

This video clip of Newt Gingrich, a Republican presidential contender, crying is a bit reminiscent of then Senator Hillary Clinton crying in New Hampshire before the states primary in 2008 where then Senator Barack Obama was leading. Clinton started crying when a supporter asked her how she managed to keep going. "You know, I have so many opportunities from this country, I just don't want to see us fall backwards," she said, her voice breaking a bit. So she was crying for what she saw as America falling backwards. She might have been right to cry. Look at our society some years later: high unemployment, a dysfunctional Congress and bad economy.

Although, Clinton won the New Hampshire Primary, she did not go on to capture the Democratic Nomination. Barack Obama won the honor and presidency.

Newt's reason for crying is the memory of his late mother and an illness that claimed her life. Then too, he could be crying as he is falling in the Iowa polls.

Herman Cain's Briefing Book: The Man Manual

If guilty, Herman Cain and his wife, Gloria, have done nothing that their counterparts in politics haven't done. To that end, to say he was/is a throwback to days long gone, I ask which days? Granted Cain's campaign wasn't conventional by any means (neither was Ross Perot or Barack Obama, who used the internet to raise money and relied heavily on the media to explain his positions on everything from Rev. Wright to foreign affairs). To sum up Cain's political run as a joke and discredit the success he has had in corporate America is sad. What are we telling AA children? If you are anything but Democrat you are a joke, but if you happen to be a Republican be moderate and be seen not heard?

While I am proud to have an African-American president, that is as far as the pride will go, for what memorable has the current president done to stand out from other presidents? He made campaign promises (as those before him have done) and have not be able to keep. Yes, we can fault the opposing party, but he said he would be able to build a bridge across the aisle. The buck stops with him and his inability to come across as a strong black MAN. I know plenty of strong black Men and they don't scream or yell to be heard (but then too, you do what you have to do to succeed). But the silence is only golden for the other side.

The state of African-Americans is the same as it was before Obama took office (not that it would change), but many thought Obama would uplift the down trodden in the community give new hope. Instead, a wedge has been built. His harsh rhetoric toward the community with little to nothing as an example of leadership, which is akin to the already rhetoric from the community. Some will say AAs must take control of their own plights. Agreed, but still they gave Obama their vote and expected agreat deal in return (as any constituents would expect).

So while many in the AA community deride Cain for being congenial and jovial (buffoonery), when all he had done is be himself, he is the model of a successful black man (minus the alleged accusations which tend to follow his counterparts but he is judged more harshly). For the record, I don't condone unfaithfulness. Neither can I in good faith sum up Cain's person by allegations of affairs which he didn't do a good job in explaining (the perception was there but it was a matter for he and his wife). Remember John Edwards?

And as for Cain's personality, what else would be expected arrogant and standoffish? All candidates can laugh and be playful except a black man?

Matt Damon Slams Obama, Democrats: 'One Term President With Some Balls Would Have Been Better'

Matt Damon: "I've talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, 'Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician."

And Matt Damon: "You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better."

Damon is only saying what many of us already knew. Now we have to collect ourselves and journey on and hope the president succeeds.

And what does the Obama have to say? President's own words to Diane Sawyer in March of 2010, "I'd rather be a really good one-term president than a mediocre two-term president... There's a tendency in Washington to think that our job description, of elected officials, is to get reelected. That's not our job description. Our job description is to solve problems and to help people."

Thomas Jane On TV, American Brainwashing, DUI Suicide

The actors statements below says it all. Maybe this is one of the reasons many want to legalize marijuana for everyone.

"Jane says that the corporate-driven media, liquor, the education system and the collusion of big business and the government have brainwashed Americans into complacency."

"People's reactions to the world around them, if you give them drugs and alcohol, they tend to not worry too much that you're ripping them off on the parking meters and you're putting people in office that don't know what the f*ck they're doing," the actor says. "We can go down to the bar and complain about it there instead of going down to f*cking Congress and complaining to the people who really f*cking need to hear it, you'll find yourself down at the corner bar, yelling at the f*cking bartender, who could give a f*ck, is just waiting to go home and turn on the goddamn TV."

Culture Forecast: Dec. 18 - Dec. 24

Funny how many try to protect the usage of the "N word" with free speech and what not. If it were a word to describe gays, lesbians, Jews, Muslims etc., the world would burn down along with the person using the word if there was an attempt to make it mainstream and protected under free speech. Just goes to show how small minded some are.

Why Tebow, Why Now?

Great piece! Why not Tebow? He is in my opinion a person children can look up to and emulate. He appears to lead an exemplary life- good clean and wholesome. He is without the baggage of baby mama drama, drugs, guns and the like (of course it seems many would prefer this). He is the quitessential picture of the all-American kid next door.

Sorry to say if he slips (backslide) there are many standing on the sidelines to descend on him like flies on poop wagging their finger to "I told you so". So sad, but for now we can relish in seeing civility and calmness and conviction with virtue in the NFL, as many have come before him but he stands out for now.

And if you don't like him, change your channel, turn off your tube or pick a new NFL team to support. Afterall, he is only with the Broncos for a season.

New York Occupy Wall Street Protestors March On After Day of Arrests At Vacant Lot Near Duarte Square

The below statements I have extracted from this article says it all. It's not a movement like those of the 60's but rather a disorganized malcontent group of people disguising themselves as wanting to right the wrongs in our society.

The protesters say they want people to realize the country is going in the wrong direction. Well, their actions are a part of the "wrong direction'. Hence their message is lost in translation.

Please don't throw up the Civil Rights Movement and their civil disobedience, to do so would be akin to sacrilege. Then it was about basic rights, and one of them being the right to VOTE. Once obtained they took to the polls for change. The OWS protesters have the right to VOTE and some won't or don't use it. I have spoken to several friends overseas about OWS. They laugh and say they don't understand the message of the movement. Then they say why don't these people get their change by VOTING! "Why are they waiting for the media or anyone else to give them the power they already have?"

"...they scaled a chain-link fence or crawled under it to get to an Episcopal church-owned lot they want to use for a new camp site.

"As officers made arrests, protesters shouted obscenities and hollered: "Make them catch you!"

Bill Richardson and Sex Allegations Under Investigation

Bill Richardson, 64, a democratic presidential candidate in 2008, who ultimately endorsed Barak Obama for president, is being investigate by a federal grand jury in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

According to published reports, Richardson, who served as Energy Secretary in the Clinton Administration and an Ambassador to the United Nations, is being investigated that he arranged campaign supporters to pay off a woman who planned to say she had an extramarital affair with him prior to his run for president. Also being investigated, are possible campaign finance violations stemming from his failed 2008 presidential bid.

Sources familiar with the investigations have said several of Richardson’s close associate have been granted immunity from prosecution in exchange for their testimony.  The seated jury panel is one of several juries in recent years to examine aspects of Richardson’s administration and campaigns.

My thoughts on this: First of all, when Richardson was running for president rumors were rampant about his alleged affairs. The liberal media, however, viewed him as a favorable candidate because he was Mexican. It seems the media thought it would be nice to have Mexican leading the Democratic Party as oppose to a white male. This same thought process was used toward Barak Obama. Needless to say, Obama became president.

My thoughts on affairs: Why do men in power allow themselves to be tarnished by extra marital dalliances thus ruining an otherwise stellar career in public service (i.e. Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Jesse Jackson)?  Do these men actually think what is done in the dark will not come back to hunt them? Why do they feel the need to philander their family jewels?  Are women so attracted to power that they give into it?

My conclusion: arrogance and stupidity on both sides.

Where are a few good men and women?

Herman Cain Is Out But Not Done Yet!

Now that Republican presidential nominee Herman Cain has suspended his bid for the presidency, some are left wondering if he will become a political pundit like Sarah Palin.

As many are aware, Palin was the governor of Alaska when John McCain tapped her to be his vice president running mate in 2008. The pair did not make it to the White House, and Palin returned to her governorship.

In 2009, however, Pain resigned as governor of Alaska citing personal reasons. Since that time she has been a fixture in the news often making headlines (for better or for worse). Palin had been considered a potential candidate for the 2012 presidential election. She, however, dispelled the speculation in October when she announced she would not run for the presidency. This has not silenced her. She has been somewhat of a major voice on the political scene giving comments on the current president and congress. She has even become a political commentary for Fox News.

This brings us back to Cain, who was seen as a light weight running for president. That all changed when he became the front runner, and that became his undoing. He was then opened up for a microscopic vetting which brought up questions regarding his knowledge of world affairs and his relationship with women (just to name a few).

Now making it full circle, with Cain suspending his campaign he can still receive campaign donations. The donations can allow him to create a political action committee, which is something he alluded to during his speech Saturday in Atlanta. A Cain political action committee would allow him to remain in the limelight with his 9-9-9 tax plan and other pet causes.

Now that Cain has suspended his campaign, I wonder if the left media pundits and so called journalist will move on? I doubt it. When they are able to take a stab at a successful black man, and not be labeled racist by black liberals they will pull out all the stops. And so it will begin.
