Lennon Baldwin, 15-Year-Old Allegedly Bullied At School, Commits Suicide (VIDEO)

Here we go again. However, this time the bully happens to be African American. What you bet he will be found guilty and given the maximum sentencing. I bet no New Jersey judge will give him a light sentence nor will members of GLAAD come out in support of the culprit, as was done for Dharun Ravi. Ok media you can play the race card now.

U.S. Child Poverty Second Highest Among Developed Nations: Report

Hold on, it will get worse with all the single family households. Unfortunately, Dan Quayle (I know of all people) spoke out against this some decades ago when he attacked the fictional character Murphy Brown, for having a baby out of wedlock. At time many thought why is he picking on a TV character? Well, now we have life imitating art.

Eric Holder: Voter ID Laws Threaten Voting Rights

I don't get it. What is the big deal with presenting an ID? This is 2012 and to receive services of any type in the US you must have a valid ID. Why should it be different for voting? I don't think it is a minority thing or discriminatory; it is a sign of the times. The way people are behaving you would think minorities are denied access to a valid ID. What is this?

Joe Walsh: Democrats Want Hispanics, African Americans 'Dependent On Government'

Wait, are the comments considered racist because he is a white tea party member and made the comments? Or is it racist because the media deems it to be so? If he were a black or hispanic comedian making the comment or not even a comedian would the comment be considered racist? Just asking. In other words, I am sick and tired of the media defining what is and what isn't a racist comment.

CNN Hit 20-Year Primetime Ratings Low In May

Here is my assessment of the situation with cable news. Cable news is like a friend. CNN is the friend who tells you what you should know. MSNBC tells you what you want to hear and Fox tells you what they want you to hear and know. From its inception decades ago, CNN has tried to report the news in a fair and balanced manner. Unfortunately, many news watchers today don't want straight news. People today want to know what the journalists are thinking and whose side they are on politically or in general. The news can't just be reported on without an opinion. Pop culture is dictating that journalists become commentators and provide their personal feedback.

CNN has an attractive stable of smart journalists (minus two or three who should go), but the station doesn't know how to best use them. If the station could get its arms around programming and better utilize the staff it might have a chance.

Alan Simpson Slams Fellow Republicans For Unwillingness To Compromise

Proof there are reasonable individuals in the Republican Party. Look at Colin Powell. The late Jack Kemp was a true camper. Hail to them all. What? Meaghan McCain? Who is she? What? Oh the media hound. Oh. Ok. I guess.

Zachery Gray, Florida Teen, Suffers Brain Damage After Suicide Attempt Allegedly Due To Anti-Gay Bullying

Wait just a minute there. This isn't a liberal or conservative thing nor is it a Jesus or christian thing. If anything, it is a bullying thing and a people thing. It is time the laws of the land be enforced in their completeness. All this it gets better campaign with Hollywood stars, entertainers and polls who have the power to stop the bullying directed at them is meaningless for the youth or person who don't have the power. The only thing they have is the LAW and it should be on their side all the time. Just two weeks ago this law failed when it sentenced Dharun Ravi to 30 days in a county jail. Is that how it get's better? Come on enforce the law and start making examples out of those who break it. Then and only then will it get better.

I hope this family finds strength for the months ahead.

Trayvon Martin Case: Witnesses Change Accounts, Which Could Hurt Zimmerman

And the witness(s) for the prosecution will change their stories also. It happens all the time. Heck! Some even commit perjury. What's new? Reminds me of politicians, who say one thing to get elected and do a complete about face once in office. They call it evolving or their evolution or some fancy term the media serves for the masses to eat up.

Desmond Hatchett: Man With 30 Kids Requests Child-Support Break

Trayvon Martin 7-Eleven Surveillance Video Shows Slain Teen Shortly Before He Was Killed

Martin doesn't look like a kid in this video nor does he look helpless, but that isn't what the jurors will have to decide, and it is besides the point. The intent and who was standing their ground under the law is the issue at hand. This would be a different case had there not been a rush to judgment by some in the media and some in the public. Who ever is releasing all this information probably should have done so upfront, if possible. Perhaps then all would have at least be given a glimmer into both sides of the story _ though I doubt reason would have prevailed.

What we do know is the police dispatcher asked Zimmerman not to follow Martin and Martin's parents want justice not vigilantism by an uninformed public.

Trayvon Martin Autopsy: Teen Was Killed By Single Gunshot Fired From 'Intermediate Range'

Twist and turns and an uphill journey. Had Zimmerman obeyed police orders Martin would still be alive and we wouldn't be here. Had the media contained itself and not tried to rush to judgment and play the race card we wouldn't be here. Where is the justice? Where is the outrage? Where is the shame?

Juvenile Offenders Sentenced To Life Can Face Harsher Treatment Than Adults: Report

It is sad and seems unfair. However, with the event of social media and everything else these youths should know there is a major push to put disruptive youths behind bars. The justice system is cracking down on wayward teens. You need to wake-up and start making informed decisions; no matter how bad your home life is _ society and the justice system doesn't seem to care. I know this isn't the positive thing to say but it is reality.

James Clyburn Breaks With Obama, Says Gay Marriage Should Not Be Left To States

I'm impressed with Clyburn. Initially, I thought the article was about him not agreeing with Obama's stance on gay marriage. I will say this to the congressman and others baby steps. Baby steps. Don't mess this thing up the way you all messed up healthcare and as a result lost seats. You can't do everything in a day. Remember it took time for Civil Rights to be given to all and even then not all have their rights (read between the lines).

Ken McRoyal Dead: Idaho Receiver Shot And Killed At Party In Los Angeles

So sad. What is even sadder this story gets little attention. Had this young man been killed at the hands of a policeman or someone of a different race or ethnic background the story would probably dominate the news cycle and knock off gay marriage. What is the value of a black life in the black community? A harsh reality but one that must be and should be addressed.

Al Sharpton you now have a platform do what you do best and ride this case! Another mother won't have her son on Mother's Day leaving behind a fatherless child.

CNN Is Terrible. Here's Why.

Whesh! That was a lot of blather! The problem with CNN is people can't handle the truth anymore. CNN is the only cable news channel that actual reports the news. Sure they have their side gimmicks and what not, but at the end of the day (and beginning) they are actually being fair and balanced. They report and we decide. While the other cable stations have moved to commentators and commentary. We know more about the party affiliations of those seemingly giving the news and where they stand on the news then we do about the news and events taking place. Hours and hours of self-glorification of pundits, comedians and whomever else they can throw in the mix pontificating. America has been dumbed down. No wonder our jobs are being taken overseas to build up their economy and we actually find good reasons to defend the process.

America the great is turning into a cesspool of dummies. Please say it isn't so?
