All Due Respect...

Ahem...all due respect Mr. President

I am a fan of President Barack Obama.  He is after all the first black president.  That said, I am not drinking from the fountain that keeps me from being critical of him and his policies are lack of polices.

Recently the POTUS came out and chided the media and its coverage of the presumptive republican nominee Donald J. Trump.  He said the media should do a thorough vetting of the presumptive republican nominee. The POTUS even made reference to Trump and reality TV.

"We are in serious times, and this is a really serious job.  This is not entertainment. This is not a reality show. This is a contest for the presidency of the United States." The POTUS went on to say, "As a general rule, I don't pay attention of Mr. Trump's tweet."

Ahem...Mr. President it wasn't too long ago when you were running for the current office you now hold that your campaign with the media in tow had you overseas at the Berlin Wall reminiscence of John F. Kennedy at the wall in the 60's.  What the Berlin Wall had to do with American politics in 2008 is anyones guess other than that being a celebrity rock star affect to garnish publicity.  Surely, this had nothing to do with being vetted, as many then and now felt there wasn't a true vetting at the time.

Nevertheless, it was good than to be treated like a rock star and a media darling but not so now?  Continuing along the same lines it was the POTUS and campaign who ushered in savviness against then Senator Hillary Clinton with the use of social media. Funny how times change and what was good for some then doesn't seem to apply to others now.  Could it be Trump is simply taking a page from the Obama playbook on all fronts?

Ahem...all due respect Mr. President.
